One month in!

The month of September seems to have gone in a blink of an eye - and the summer holidays have melted into a distant memory. All of the children have settled well into their new classes and are enjoying the new challenges that they face.
This month has seen a fresh, new approach to English and Maths, with Guided Reasoning sessions being added to the curriculum. These changes should see an even greater success for all of our children. I have observed much teaching this month and I have been very impressed with the innovative ways the staff are delivering the curriculum to the children - from active grammar lessons, experiments involving woodlice and children making blood - to whole class instrument lessons and using a visit to the allotment to stimulate writing and an R.E. topic that focuses on women in the Bible - with much being captured on the iPad.
And thanks to FRoST, we are now the very proud owners of a sensory den, complete with guidance for staff and equipment for children to use.
